Fernanda Rojas Ampuero

Welcome! I am an applied economist with interests in development economics, economic history, and urban economics.

I am an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and during Fall 2025, I am on-leave at the Harvard Academy.

Before joining UW, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from UCLA in 2022, and a BA and MA in Economics from PUC-Chile.
